Located between Woolwell and Bickleigh and within Bickleigh Parish, the site has been allocated in the Plymouth and South West Devon Joint Local Plan for in the order of 2,000 homes and a new community park (Local Plan Policy PLY44). Our proposals comprise the majority of the land within that allocated area.
Our application will exclude the land directly north of Darklake Lane that includes the existing sports pitches, which also falls within the same allocation area. Any future planning application made for that land will be determined separately and on its own merits by South Hams District Council. Nonetheless, our draft proposals are based upon a vision and planning policy requirements for the allocation as a whole to ensure that any future planning application made for the land north of Darklake Lane can tie in seamlessly with the plans for the wider allocation.
